LPG Gas tanker Overturns on NH 26 in Koraput District

Koraput: A gas tanker transporting LPG overturned on NH-26 near Rajuguda in Odisha’s Koraput district on Tuesday. This accident occurred in the Sunki-Potangi stretch of the highway.

This tanker was traveling to Raipur from Visakhapatanam. The driver lost control at a turn of the ghat road and the vehicle overturned.

Following the mishap, LPG started leaking out of the tanker. Fire brigade personnel and police rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

To avoid any possibility of a major mishap due to LPG leakage, vehicular traffic on Sunki Ghat was temporarily diverted from Sunki, Rajuguda, Pukali to NH Pukali Chowk (Near Pottangi), informed Koraput Collector Abdaal M. Akhtar through a tweet.
