Minor Falls into Borewell in MP; Rescue Operation Underway

Betul (Madhya Pradesh): An eight-year-old boy fell into a borewell at a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The local police and the administration reached the spot after being informed. The rescue operation is underway.

A camera is inserted into the borewell to monitor the child’s movement, said Betul District Collector Amanveer Singh Bains.

Reportedly, the minor is not responding due to unconsciousness. Oxygen is also supplied to him. A tunnel is being dug parallel to the borewell with the help of two JCB machines.

The Chief Minister’s Office informed that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is personally monitoring the situation and taking review from the Collector.

The rescue operation is underway and might take some time.
