National Level Female Kho Kho Player Found Hanging at Home in Keonjhar

Keonjhar: Manika Nayak, a Junior national female Kho Kho player was found hanging in her house in the Keonjhar district of Odisha on Friday. She was discovered in a hanging state at her home in Nayadhanurjayapur village under the Baria Police limit.

The reason behind her death has not been ascertained. She was a student in Higher Secondary classes. As per reports, her family members found Manika hanging from the roof by a rope. They immediately rescued her and took her to the Jhumpura Community Health Centre (CHC). The doctors at the hospital declared her brought dead.

Some locals suspect this national-level Kho Kho player may have taken this drastic decision because of some family dispute. Police are investigating the reason behind her death.

Minati was studying at Ukhunda College. She was a member of Odisha Junior Kho Kho team. She represented Odisha in national junior kho kho tournaments and won several medals. She was instrumental in the victory of Odisha in the national tournament held in Jharkhand recently.
