Nothing Phone 2 Pre-Orders Now Live in India: Exciting Features and Pricing Revealed

Nothing is gearing up for the global launch of the Nothing Phone 2 on July 11, including its release in India. This much-hyped smartphone is expected to be the successor to the Nothing Phone 1, which was launched in July 2022. The Phone 1 boasted a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ chipset and a 4,500mAh battery.

The Nothing Phone 2 builds upon its predecessor’s success with even more impressive specifications. It will be equipped with a more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a slightly larger 4,700mAh battery. The design of the rear panel, teased by Nothing, showcases a transparent glass cover with LED light panels, similar to the previous model. Additionally, the Phone 2 will have curved edges and frame, departing from the flat sides and rear panel of the Phone 1.

Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, recently shared a screenshot of the Phone 2’s home screen, revealing a digital clock in the top left corner. This implies that the selfie camera may not be positioned centrally in the upcoming smartphone. In another tweet, Nothing showcased an unidentified handset with narrow bezels and a centre-aligned hole-punch camera slot, suggesting the possibility of a centrally positioned selfie camera in the Phone 2.

The anticipation for the Nothing Phone 2 has led to the opening of pre-orders in India. Customers can secure the phone by paying a refundable deposit of Rs. 2,000, with the balance payable upon release. The Phone 2 is expected to be available in two variants: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage priced at approximately Rs. 65,600 and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage priced at approximately Rs. 76,500.

Confirmed specifications for the Nothing Phone 2 include a 6.7-inch display with at least full-HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). It will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The phone will come with a transparent outer layer USB Type-C cable and a silver-coloured USB port. Notably, Nothing has committed to providing 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates for the Phone 2.
