Odisha CM Holds Meeting For Preparedness for Delayed Monsoon & Possible Flood Situation

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday held a meeting with the senior officials of the Water Resources Department.

He directed the water resources officials for the timely completion of the ongoing projects.

Expressing concern over the delayed monsoon, he asked the top officers of the department to manage water efficiently. He advised the department to be in a state of preparedness for managing possible flood situation during the ensuing monsoon.

This meeting was attended by the Development Commissioner Anu Garg, who is also the Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources and a team of officers of the department.

The Odisha CM also stressed that the improvement of the status of the farmers of the state is a top priority of his Government and that the Department has a key role to play in making water available to them.

He further exhorted all the officers of the Department to work with utmost sincerity, transparency and dedication for ensuring greater benefit for the farmers.
