Pak Embassy Building in US on Sale: Indian & Jews are Top Bidders

Pakistan is selling off the building from where the defence section of its embassy was operating in Washington. The highest bid for this property has come from a Jewish group at $ 6.8 million, reported the Dawn newspaper of Pakistan.

Most Muslims have antipathy towards Jews. And this Jewish group wants to build a synagogue in this building bought from the Islamic nation.

An Indian real estate businessman is the second in the race with a bid of about $5 million, followed by a bid of about $4 million from a Pakistani realtor, the Dawn report said.

Pakistan’s cabinet has approved the sale.
