PM Modi Appreciates Prez Murmu’s Sortie in Sukhoi 30 MKI Fighter Aircraft

New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated President Droupadi Murmu who took a  historic sortie in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter aircraft at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam.

In response to a tweet by the president of India, the Prime Minister said;

“This has inspired every Indian! Rashtrapati Ji has time and again shown exceptional leadership.”

President Droupadi Murmu took a sortie onboard a Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter plane at the Tezpur Air Force Station in Assam on Saturday. The President of India is also the Supreme Commander of the three services of the Indian Defence Forces. It was her maiden sortie in a fighter aircraft.

President Droupadi Murmi is currently on a visit to Assam. The Sukhoi-30 MKI, which carried the President is a twin-seater multirole fighter jet. It was developed by Russia’s Sukhoi and built under license by India’s aerospace giant Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
