Sidhi (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed anguish at the bus accident in Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh. In his message, he said his thoughts are with those who have lost their loved ones and wished for a quick recovery of those injured. He said the Madhya Pradesh government is providing all possible assistance to all those affected.
PM Modi announced that an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased in the accident. The injured would be given 50,000 rupees.

This accident occurred late on Friday night when buses carrying people from the Kol community were hit by a speeding truck near a tunnel in Sidhi. These people were returning back after attending ‘Kol Mahakumbh’ in Satna. This ‘mahakumbh’ was organised by the MP government. It was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
According to sources, three buses carrying the Kol people were parked at a roadside ‘dhaba’, when a speeding truck rammed into them near a tunnel in Sidhi.
