PM Modi Greets Everyone as World Famous Dhanu Yatra Begins

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings as the world-famous Dhanu Yatra kicks off in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

PM Modi tweeted, “The vibrant Dhanu Yatra is associated with the culture of Odisha. As this Yatra begins, my greetings to everyone. May this Yatra further the spirit of harmony and happiness in our society.”

World famous Dhanu Yatra has begun today in Odisha’s Bargarh district. The inaugural ceremony was held in the presence of chief guests- Parliamentarian Suresh Pujari and legislator Debesh Acharya.

This unique festival of folk theatre with the participation of all inhabitants of the town will continue till January 6, the day on which demonic king Kamsa will be killed on stage. Dhanu Yatra is being celebrated after a gap of two years because of the COVID pandemic.
