Pregnant Lady Shot Dead by Neighbour for Objecting to Loud DJ in Delhi; 2 arrested

New Delhi: A 30-year-old pregnant woman injured by bullets died during treatment on Sunday in Delhi. According to Delhi police sources, she was allegedly shot at by her neighbour in the Samaypur Badli area for objecting to loud music. Two accused were arrested in relation to the case.

The deceased identified as Ranju, was eight months pregnant. She also suffered a miscarriage after being shot at on April 2. Her neighbour allegedly fired at her when she asked him to stop the loud music being played by the DJ. The victim had suffered a gunshot injury in her neck. As per the statement of the sister-in-law of the victim, the accused named Harish was having a programme of “kuwa pujan” of his son in which a DJ was playing very loud music.

When Ranju asked Harish to stop the DJ, Harish fired at her. Harish and another person named Amit were arrested in this case. It is alleged that Harish took the gun from Amit to fire at Ranju.
