President in Puri for Shree Jagannath Darsan

Puri: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Puri for darshan of Shree Jagannath. She will offer her prayers to the holy trinity in Shree Jagannath Temple.

Adequate security arrangements have been made in Puri for this visit of the first citizen of the country. Her Highness Droupadi Murmu is well-known for her devotion towards Lord Jagannath. Crowds have gathered at Badadanda to have a glimpse of the president during her visit to the holy dham.

She reached Puri by helicopter.

She was received at the  Bhubaneswar Airport by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and other senior officials of the Odisha Government. Then, she directly flies to Puri, where the President will visit Shree Jagannath Temple.

The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements in Puri in view of President’s visit. The entire stretch of the Grand Road leading to the temple has been barricaded to ensure the smooth passage of the Presidential arcade.

Tomorrow, the President will visit Tapoban High School in Bhubaneswar and interact with students and teachers. On the same day, she will launch various projects of the Union Ministry of Education from Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar
