Prez Droupadi Murmu Greets People On The Occasion Of Gujarat & Maharashtra Day

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu has greeted people on the occasion of Gujarat and Maharashtra Day.

In a series of tweets, the President said, the land of Gujarat is the land of great personalities including Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. She said the enterprising and progressive people have contributed significantly to the development of the country. She wished that Gujarat continues to move forward on the path of progress.

On Maharashtra day, the President said, Maharashtra is a land of saints, brave fighters, artists, and people who have contributed significantly in various fields. She said this is the birthplace and workplace of personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
