Punjab Police ASI Kills Wife, Son, Pet Dog; Kidnaps Neighbour’s daughter

Amritsar: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Punjab police, Bhupinder Singh, allegedly shot dead his wife, son, and pet dog in the Gurdaspur district on Tuesday. He also kidnapped a teenage girl from Bhumbli village.

The Punjab police ASI, posted in Amritsar used his service revolver to kill his wife Baljit Kaur, and son Lovepreet Singh at around 10 am in Bhumbli village. He did not even spare his pet dog from his wrath. He managed to escape after committing the murders.

The investigating police officials are not yet sure about the reason behind these killings. It is alleged that the killer ASI allegedly kidnapped a teenage girl from his neighborhood in Bhumbli after the killings.

As per a report of The Tribune, he took the girl to Shahpur Jajjan village in Dera Baba Nanak police station, 35 km away from Bhumli, in his car and allegedly threatens to murder her.

Senior officers of Gurdaspur and Batala police districts have reached Shahpur Jajjan.
