Rs 100 Cr ‘Mukhyamantri Siksha Purashkar Yojna’ for Odisha Students

Bhubaneswar: To promote healthy competition and to recognize excellence, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced ‘Mukhyamantri Siksha Purashkar Yojna’. The Odisha CM made this announcement on Wednesday at the closing ceremony of State level children’s day celebration.

Through “Mukhyamantri Siksha Purashkar Yojna” annual awards worth Rs 100 crore will be given to the school students, educational institutions and principals, teachers, and school management committee for achieving excellence in education. Around 50,000 students, 1,500 Principals, school management committees, alumni, Gram Panchayats, and district administrations will get benefit from this scheme.

Addressing the students, the CM advised the students to acquire knowledge and create their own identities by excelling in all fields. Patnaik emphasized on the 5T transformation saying it is aimed at preparing children to face the call of the time and advised them to develop scientific temperament.

He urged the children never to forget their responsibility and also respect those who have contributed to building their lives such as teachers, family members, their village, and their school.
