Rs 7.12 Cr Unearthed in Only 4 Raids by Odisha Vigilance

Bhubaneswar: In 2022, Odisha Vigilance recovered cash of Rs 7.12 crore from four government employees. The vigilance raided  Government employees who were allegedly riddled with corruption. They had amassed a huge amount of cash and property from such activities.

According to reports, in four cases alone the anti-corruption agency recovered more than Rs 7.12 crore in cash during raids in just 4 cases in 2022.

The four raids include:

– Total cash of Rs 3,41,66,280 seized during house searches against Kartikeswar Raul, AE, MI, Bhanjanagar, Ganjam on April 7.

– Total cash of Rs 1,40, 18,070 seized during house searches against Ashish Kumar Das, SE, RW Division, Malkangiri on March 25.

– Total cash of Rs 1.13 crore seized during house searches against Dr Sukant Jena, Gynecologist, Charichhaka CHC, following a trap on February 16.

– Total cash of Rs 1,06,44,500 seized during house searches against Gaya Santara, DM, IDCOL on December 20 and 21.
