Rs 7 Cr Looted from Private Firm in Punjab’s Ludhiana

Ludhiana: Unidentified miscreants looted around Rs 7 crore from the office of a private cash management firm in Ludhiana in the early hours of Saturday, reported The Tribune.

An investigation is on to track down the culprits and recover the looted cash. According to Ludhiana police commissioner, Mandeep Singh Sidhu, this major cash loot occurred at the office of CMS Company, a cash management firm. The accused decamped with Rs 7 crore at around 1.30 am. The looters escaped from the spot using a cash van, which was recovered by police later near Mullanpur. Around 15 cash vans of the company are usually stationed near the office.

Police suspect some insider may be involved in this loot as the miscreants knew where the cash was kept.
