Sambalpur Violence: Internet Services Suspended For Another 24 Hrs

Sambalpur: The Sambalpur district administration has extended the suspension of the use and access to the internet till 19 April in the district.

Reportedly, the prohibition has been effected under the provision of the Indian Telegraph Act 1885.

Notably, the Odisha Home Department, on Saturday, had extended the prohibition on the use and access of internet and data services including WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media for another 48 hours up to 10 am on April 17, 2023.

Meanwhile, Curfew timings were also relaxed. The district administration announced further opening up the morning window from 7.30 am to 1 pm. The evening window of 3.30 pm-6 pm will remain unchanged.
