Baripada & Jharsuguda Listed Among World’s Top 15 Hottest Places

Bhubaneswar: Two district headquarters towns of Odisha-Baripada and Jharsuguda figured in the list of the top 15 hottest places in the world.

According to the global weather forecasting website, Baripada, the district headquarters town of Mayurbhanj ranked the 4th hottest place in the world on Monday by recording a maximum temperature of 44.2°C.

Meanwhile, the district headquarters town of Jharsuguda ranked the 12th hottest place in the world by recording a maximum temperature of 43.4°C.

According to the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), as many as 24 places in Odisha recorded a maximum day temperature of 40°C on Monday.
