Rahul Gandhi Pulls No Punches Against BJD, BJP in Odisha; Takes Dig At ‘Pandian Influence’

Salipur: In a fiery speech at a public rally in Salipur, Cuttack, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi outlined the party’s promises for Odisha, vowing to uplift the marginalized and address key issues if voted into power both in the state and at the Centre.

Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the ruling Naveen Patnaik government, alleging it to be influenced by external forces. He accused the BJP and BJD of being in an invisible alliance detrimental to Odisha’s interests.

Among the key promises made by Gandhi are monthly financial aid for women, support for unemployed youth, free electricity, and enhanced support for farmers, tailored specifically for Odisha. Additionally, he pledged to reduce LPG prices significantly.

The Congress leader also outlined five nationwide initiatives, including financial assistance for women, guaranteed job schemes for youth, farmer loan waivers, MSP for crops, and wage increases for labourers.

In addition to economic reforms, Gandhi pledged to address longstanding issues of land, water, and forest rights for tribal communities across the country, promising a more equitable distribution of resources and opportunities.

The rally witnessed a substantial turnout, with Gandhi’s speech resonating among attendees, offering a glimpse into the party’s proposed agenda for Odisha and the nation at large.
