Scorpion Stings Woman Passenger on Air India Flight

New Delhi: A female passenger was stung by a scorpion on board a Nagpur-Mumbai Air-India flight. Air India confirmed that the incident occurred on April 23.

According to Air India sources, the passenger stung by the scorpion was administered treatment and is now out of danger.

A passenger getting stung by a scorpion is extremely rare during air travel. The female passenger was immediately administered medical treatment during the flight and she was rushed to the hospital soon after the plane landed.

Air India officials accompanied the passenger to the hospital and offered all support to her till she was discharged by the doctors.

Air India’s engineering team carried out a thorough inspection of the aircraft and found the said scorpion. The whole plane was fumigated. Air India expressed regret for the agony and inconvenience caused to the passenger.
