Servitor Injured During Rathyatra Dies in AIIMS Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Nakula Bhoi, a servitor of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, passed away during treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Thursday. He was seriously injured during the Rathyatra this year.

He was a Bhoi servitor of Shree Jagannath. He was seriously injured when the rope of Taladhwaja Chariot carrying Lord Balabhadra snapped near Market Chhak on the Grand Road in Puri on the bahuda jatra day.

He was initially rushed to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital. As his condition was critical, he was later shifted to AIIMS in Bhubaneswar for better treatment.

However, he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.
