Speeding Truck Collides with Bus in Sambalpur; 40 Passengers Narrowly Escape

Sambalpur: Over 40 passengers had a close shave after a speeding truck hit a bus they were travelling by overturned on National Highway-53 in Odisha’s Sambalpur district earlier today.

According to sources, the incident took place near the Golgunda overbridge under Burla police limits early on Wednesday morning when a private-run bus, named Sri Ram, was heading to Burla from Bargarh with over 40 passengers.

After receiving information about the road mishap, Burla Police reached the spot and rescued the injured passengers. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police seized the truck and began to probe.
