Theft of Flower Pots Put up for G20 Conference; One arrested

New Delhi: Flower pots set up by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) near Shankar Chowk as part of decoration for the G-20 conference were found to be stolen. A person allegedly involved in the theft has been arrested.

Interestingly, the arrested man is a property dealer named Manmohan (45), who resides in the Gandhi Nagar area in Gurugram. Stolen flower pots were seized by police from his possession. The luxury car used in the theft has been seized.

According to the police, the accused was arrested from the DLF Phase-3 area late at night on Tuesday. The car used by him in the theft worth around Rs 40 lakh was also seized. Police are searching for accomplishes in the crime.

As per initial investigation, Manmohan and his companions while returning from Delhi to Gurugram stole the flower pots and fled from the spot. But their misdeed was recorded on camera by someone. Video clip of their theft went viral on social media on Tuesday. Following it police tracked down Manmohan and arrested him.
