Ukraine Rocked by over 120 Missiles Fired by Russia

Ukraine was battered by a massive missile by Russia on Thursday. Over 120 Russian missiles fired from air and sea hit the Ukrainian capital Kyiv and other parts of the country. At least three people including a teenager were injured in Kyiv. Electricity supply was disrupted in the west.

Blasts caused by missiles were reported across Ukraine on Thursday morning. Missiles hit the Ukrainian capital, the second city Kharkiv in the east and the western city of Lviv on the border with Poland.

“The enemy is attacking Ukraine from various directions with air and sea-based cruise missiles from strategic aircraft and ships,” Ukraine’s air force said on social media.

Presidential aide Mykhaylo Podolyak said that more than 120 missiles had been fired.

This major missile attack by Kremlin came after it rejected the Ukrainian peace plan. Russia is insisting on Ukraine accepting its annexation of four regions. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is trying to push a 10-point peace plan that envisages Russia respecting Ukraine’s territorial integrity and pulling out its troops.
