Vice Prez Inaugurates Scientific Convention on World Homoeopathy Day

New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today appealed to develop a culture in the country to eradicate stress and tension. The Vice President said this after inaugurating the scientific convention on the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day in New Delhi.

The Convention has been organised by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy under the Ministry of AYUSH. Vice President  Dhankhar said that Healthcare is not just about medical treatment as it includes an individual’s physical, mental and emotional well-being, and a community’s social and economic environment.

He mentioned that the motto of India’s G20 Presidency is ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future and without health, there can be no future. He added that Homoeopathy as a form of treatment has a rich history spanning over two centuries.

He also mentioned that today World Health Organisation has acknowledged homoeopathy as the second-largest and fastest-growing system of medicine in the world and has marked its presence in more than 80 countries.

Union Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal and Minister of State for Ayush Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai were also present on the occasion.

World Homoeopathy Day is observed every year on the 10th of April to commemorate the birth anniversary of the founder of Homoeopathy, Dr Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann.
