Vigilance Raids Bhawanipatna Municipality Asst Executive Engineer in DA Case

Bhawanipatna: Odisha vigilance conducted raids on the properties belonging to the assistant executive engineer of Bhawanipatna Municipality in Kalahandi district on alleged charges of having disproportionate assets on Wednesday.

The accused was identified as Samir Kumar Thakur.

“On the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Thakur, simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by five DSPs, six inspectors and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by  Special Vigilance Judge, Bhawanipatna at the four places,” informed a senior official.

The four places include:

1. Three-storeyed building at Mahavirpada, Bhawanipatna

2) Double-storeyed building at Irrigation Colony, Bhawanipatna.

3) Residential house of a relative of Sri Thakur, located at Marwaripada, Bhawanipatna.

4) Office Chamber of Thakur inside Bhawanipatna Municipality.
