Lucknow: UP police are in search of a newly married bride, who fired four rounds into the air during her wedding ceremony. A video of this 23-year-old bride firing in air while the groom looks confused has gone viral on social media. This incident is said to have happened in Hathras of Uttar Pradesh.
The bride identified as Ragini fired in the air after the garland exchange ceremony.

A case has been registered against the newly-wed bride under IPC section 25(9) (celebratory gunfire). Fearing arrest, the bride has absconded. Police is also trying to identify the person who provided her with the pistol.
If found guilty the bride can face imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to rupees one lakh, or with both,” reads section 25 (9) of the IPC.
