Woman Falls Prey to Crocodile Attack in Rajnagar Area of Kendrapara Dist

Kendrapara: A woman was allegedly dragged away by a crocodile in the Rajnagar area of Kendrapara district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the victim was cleaning utensils in a canal near Hatiagadi village under Chandibaunsamula panchayat of Rajnagar block, when the mishap happened. All of a sudden a crocodile came out of the water and dragged away the ill-fated woman into the water.

Locals are searching for the woman.

On June 14, a class 5 student, Ashutosh Acharya, died in a crocodile attack while taking a bath in the Brahmani river at Nimpura village under Pattamundai block of Kendrapara district.

The mutilated half-eaten body of the boy was later recovered from the river.
