Woman Found Dead at Bus Terminal in Jagatpur

Cuttack: A woman was found dead at a bus terminal in Jagatpur area of Odisha’s Cuttack. The body has injury marks on the neck raising suspicion of murder.

The deceased was identified as Kuni Sahu. According to reports, Kuni Sahu went missing last evening. As her husband was unable to know her whereabouts, he lodged a complaint with the police.

However,  she was found dead at the bus terminal, this morning. Police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem. They have also initiated an investigation.

“We have registered a case while the further probe is underway to ascertain the circumstances under which the woman died. A scientific team has been roped in. Preliminary investigation indicates that the woman was murdered. It appears that she was strangled to death with her saree. Post-mortem report will bring a clear picture,” said a senior police official.
