Woman Run Over by Speeding Bus While Waiting at Bus Stop in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A woman waiting to board a bus at a bus stop at Karadapalli village under the Khandapara police station in the Nayagarh district was run over by a speeding bus on Monday. She died on the spot.

Angry locals blocked the road at the spot keeping the woman’s body on the road demanding compensation to the family of the deceased.

According to reports, the deceased woman identified as Hullashi Behera was waiting to board a bus at the village bus stop when a private passenger bus from Baghamari ran over her.

The locals rounded up the driver of the bus and thrashed him. He was later detained by the police.
