Women’s Cricket T20 World Cup to Begin in Cape Town

Cape Town (South Africa): The Women’s Cricket T20 World Cup will begin tonight at Newlands in Cape Town. The home team South Africa will clash with Sri Lanka in the opening match, which would begin at 10.30 p.m. Indian Standard Time.

Ten teams have been divided into two groups.  Group-A consists of South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia and New Zealand, while Group B has India, England, Pakistan, Ireland and West Indies.

Two matches will be played tomorrow. In Group B at 6.30 p.m. West Indies will take on England.  Australia and New Zealand meet at 10.30 p.m.

India would take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their first match at Newlands, Cape Town on Sunday at 6.30 p.m.

All India Radio will broadcast ball-by-ball commentary of India’s matches over its FM Rainbow network, in Hindi and English, from 1800 to 2230 hours or till the end of the match.
