YouTuber Arrested for Honeytrap and Extortion of Rs 80 Lakh

New Delhi: A 22-year-old female YouTuber was arrested in Delhi for honey-trapping and extorting Rs 80 lakh from the owner of a private company. The arrested YouTuber identified as Namra Qadir had threatened to implicate the man in a rape case.

Qadir’s husband Virat Beniwal, who is the co-accused in this case has absconded, police said. Qadir has more than 617k subscribers on YouTube.

According to police sources, the victim Dinesh Yadav (21) had lodged a complaint in August but the couple had got interim bail. When their interim bail was cancelled, an FIR against Qadir and her husband was registered on November 26 at the Sector-50 police station.

According to police sources, Qadir has confessed to the crime and an investigation is on to recover the money and other items that were taken by her from the victim.

The victim Dinesh Yadav runs an advertising firm. He had developed a friendship with Qadir. As per the complainant, since August Qadir had started to threaten that she would implicate him in a rape case. Through this threat, she had extorted more than Rs 80 lakh and gift items from him.
