Amid Border Issues Andhra Deputy CM Visits Koraput’s Kotia

Koraput: Amid the tussle between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha over border issues, Deputy Chief Minister Peedika Rajanna Dora on Thursday visited Kotia panchayat in Pottangi block of Odisha’s Koraput district.

According to reports, Dora visited the Dhoolipadar village of Kotia panchayat and held a meeting to create awareness about the welfare schemes rolled out by the Andhra Pradesh government.

The Deputy Chief Minister reportedly assured the villagers of all-possible support from his government.

While addressing the gathering, Dora stated that the development that Kotia has witnessed is only due to the efforts of the Andhra Pradesh government.

He further noted that a slew of schemes and measures are in the pipeline and will soon be implemented for the welfare and development of Kotia.

Notably, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh governments have been claiming their territorial rights over Kotia since the early 1960s due to which there has been a longstanding tussle between both states.
