Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Launches Laxmi Bus Scheme In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday inaugurated the Laxmi Bus Scheme in Nabarangpur district, introducing 44 buses to connect all 44 panchayats with the 10 blocks in the region. Villagers can now travel to block headquarters for a nominal fare of Rs 5. Addressing the community, Patnaik acknowledged traffic challenges in remote areas, prompting the government to launch the Laxmi Bus Scheme to enhance rural social relations and the economy.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to public opinion, Patnaik stated that initiatives like the Laxmi Bus Scheme and others, including Mo Bank, Mo Odisha, and Nabin Odisha, were shaped by people’s suggestions.

Emphasizing the role of communication in development, he expressed optimism that the scheme would foster social connections, ease transportation for children to schools, connect farmers to markets, and facilitate patient hospitalization.

Transport Minister Tukuni Sahu commended the Chief Minister for bringing transportation services to people’s doorsteps during the auspicious month of Margashi. He credited Patnaik for transformative changes in the status of mothers over the past 30 years.
