Contractor Accuses Banpur NAC Chairman of Demanding Commission: Files Complaint

Khordha: A contractor named Laxmidhar Sethi has filed a complaint against Mitu Nayak, Chairman of Banpur Notified Area Council (NAC), alleging that Nayak demanded a percentage commission (PC) to clear a pending bill.

The incident took place in the Khordha district, and Sethi claims that Nayak demanded Rs 42,000 as PC to issue a bill of Rs 3,68,000 after Sethi completed a project under Banpur NAC. Furthermore, Sethi alleges that Nayak misbehaved with him when he refused to pay the PC.

Nayak, on the other hand, denies the allegations and claims that he does not have a PC system in his office. He alleges that Sethi has falsely accused him due to personal enmity with one of Nayak’s supporters.

The Banpur police station has taken up the matter and called both parties to discuss the issue. The police will take further action after hearing both parties.
