Family of 3 Found Dead in Odisha’s Kendrapara, Suicide Pact Suspected

Kendrapada: A pall of gloom descended upon Rajendranagar village in Odisha’s Kendrapara district after a man, his wife, and son were found dead at their house located in Rajendranagar village under Rajnagar block of Odisha’s Kendrapara district today.

The deceased have been identified as 53-year-old Sridam Mandal, his wife Jayanti (45), and their 27-year-old son Parakhita.

Sridam was found hanging from the roof in the morning while his wife and son were lying dead inside the house.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths remain unclear. However, initial reports suggest a possible case of suicide due to family disputes. Police have taken the bodies into custody for autopsy and launched a full investigation to determine the exact cause.

“We are investigating the case from all angles,” a police official stated. “The post-mortem examination will shed more light on the cause of deaths. We are questioning family members and neighbours to piece together a timeline of events.”

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the local community. Villagers expressed their condolences to the bereaved family and are cooperating with the police investigation.
