2 Killed in Scooter-Bus Collision In Odisha’s Ganjam

Ganjam: Two individuals riding a scooter lost their lives in a fatal collision with a bus near College Square in the Kotinda police jurisdiction of Aska in Odisha’s Ganjam district, during the early hours of Sunday. The deceased, identified as Kunal Sahu and K Rajesh from Gosani Nuagaon, were on their way to Bhubaneswar from Aska when the accident occurred, claiming their lives on the spot.

Police have taken custody of the bus involved in the incident and have detained the driver for interrogation. The bodies of the victims have been dispatched for postmortem examination.

It is worth noting that the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre had issued a yellow warning for dense fog in several areas, including Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Boudh, Jajpur, and Rayagada until 8:30 am. The advisory warned of visibility reduction to 200-50 meters due to the thick fog, potentially affecting traffic flow on national highways.
