IMD Forecasts Gradual Rise in Day Temp in Odisha, Rain Expected in Some Regions

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the day temperatures in Odisha are anticipated to increase by 2-4°C over the next three days. Prevailing north-westerly winds are likely to contribute to this rise, following a recent period of nor’wester-induced rain, thundershower, and lightning.

These weather phenomena had led to a notable decrease in mercury levels across several areas, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, which experienced temperatures below normal in recent days.

While no further weather warnings have been issued for the state, the IMD has forecasted light to moderate rain and thundershowers in select districts.
