In Pics | FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 Marks Spectacular Opening Ceremony As Barabati Reverberates With Hockey Spirit

Cuttack: The Millennium City of Cuttack hosted a glittering and star-studded inauguration ceremony for FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 at the historical Barabati Stadium on Wednesday.

The glittering World Cup trophy was unveiled in presence of FIH President Tayyab Ikram, Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anurag Thakur, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and former Indian hockey team captain and Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey.

The opening ceremony featured live performances by Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh, and Disha Patani and music composer Pritam, who has composed HWC 2023 anthem, along with Blackswan, the famous K-Pop band featuring Odisha’s Shreya Lenka.

Ollywood’s power couple Sabyasachi Mishra and Archana Sahu also featured in the celebration.

The special attraction of the event is music and dance shows of Ollywood and Bollywood stars. Bollywood actor Ranbir Singh and actress Disha Patani dominated the show with their spectacular performance during the grand celebration. Bollywood music director Pritam and Black Swan Group have also added colour to the mega programme.

Artiste like Aruna Mohanty, Smiti Mishra, Prince Dance Group, Rituraj Mohanty and Ollywood star couple Sabyasachi-Archita also stole the show by their scintilating performance.
