Naba Das Murder: LoP Alleges Hand Of 5T Secy & MLA Pranab Prakash

Bhubaneswar: After boycotting the budget session of the assembly, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra made some explosive statements in regard to the Naba Das murder case on Monday.

While staging a demonstration on the Odisha Assembly premises on the first day of the budget session, Mishra said that he suspects the involvement of 5T secretary and MLA Pranab Prakash Das in the case.

“Four days before Naba Das murder, 5T secretary and Pranab Prakash Das had a telephonic conversation. The two should be brought under the purview of investigation and the call record should be examined,” Mishra said.

“Odisha Police doesn’t have the guts to probe these aspects of the case and we demand a detailed investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI),” said Mishra.

“What were the conversations between the 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das over the telephone four days prior to the murder of Naba Das? Both of them should be brought under the purview of the probe and their call records be examined,” added Mishra.

Alleging that the BJD-led Odisha government tried to spread lies through the Governor’s speech, the BJP members boycotted the proceedings of the House over the deteriorating law and order situation.
