Bhubaneswar: Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) in Odisha’s capital introduces an exciting educational initiative called ‘Night Out at Zoo’. This program offers wildlife enthusiasts a unique opportunity to observe nocturnal animal behaviour.
Scheduled every Sunday from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, the program accommodates up to 20 participants per session. For a fee of Rs 250 per person, visitors can explore the zoo after hours and gain insights into the nighttime activities of its inhabitants.

Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda highlighted the program’s educational value, urging those interested in nocturnal animal behaviour to take part. Interested individuals can secure their spots by booking tickets on the official Nandankanan website.
During the program, participants will be guided through the zoo aboard battery-operated vehicles. However, photography and video recording of the animals are prohibited to ensure a non-intrusive experience.
