Now Devotees Can Have Glimpse Of Lord Dhabaleswar From Their Home

Cuttack: After the Cuttack district administration cancelled the Bada Osha festival at the Dhabaleswar shrine and restricted devotees from visiting the temple during Panchuka by imposing prohibitory orders, the Odisha government has started live streaming of Lord’s rituals from the temple on YouTube.

The Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department took the initiative to facilitate darshan of Lord Dhabaleswar virtually from homes.

The live streaming that began from the first day of Panhcuka, will continue till end of the month on the official Youtube channel of I &PR department.

Earlier, Cuttack district administration had assured the devotees to make arrangements for the darshan of the deity on an LED screen at the hanging bridge side through virtual mode. The devotees can also have the divine Prasad- Gaja Bhoga near the bridge side.

In the wake of the Morbi bridge mishap, the administration had declared the hanging bridge unsafe for devotees and imposed Section- 144 of CrPC for an indefinite period to facilitate repair work of the bridge.

Lord Dhabaleswar’s temple is located on the island and the place draws thousands of devotees every year during the holy month of ‘Kartik’.

The last five days of the month is known as “Panchuka” when large numbers of people throng the temple using the hanging bridge.
