Odisha CM Inaugurates World’s Biggest Hockey Stadium in Rourkela

Rourkela: Ahead of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the World Cup Village at Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium Complex in Rourkela today. The World Cup Village has been developed within a record 9 months & flaunts 225 rooms with world-class amenities.

It is a matter of pride for every Odia that the biggest hockey stadium in the world now rests on the soil of Odisha. With a seating capacity that exceeds 21,000 spectators, the newly built Birsa Munda Stadium in Odisha’s Rourkela is all set to become the largest stadium in the world to ever host a game of hockey.

Prior to the commencement of the Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik visited Rourkela today to officially inaugurate the biggest hockey stadium in the world- Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium.
