Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Flags Off 34 Cyber Safety Awareness Raths

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched a statewide cyber safety campaign on Saturday, flagging off 34 mobile awareness vans called “Cyber Safety Awareness Raths.” The campaign aims to raise awareness about cybercrime and its prevention among people of all ages.

Cybercrime has witnessed a concerning surge in recent years, posing a significant threat across the country. The Odisha government believes that awareness and preventive measures are the most effective way to combat this menace.

As part of the campaign, the Cyber Safety Awareness Raths will visit schools, colleges, panchayats, and public places to conduct awareness programs. Students will also participate in quiz competitions focused on cyber safety.

To engage urban areas, a mini marathon and an evening walk will be organized on October 8 and 14, respectively. The campaign will culminate on October 15 with a concluding function graced by freedom fighters.

The program will receive support from various stakeholders, including panchayat representatives, Mission Shakti members, the School and Mass Education Department, the Higher Education Department, and officers and staff from the Panchayati Raj and Information and Public Relations Department.

The Odisha government hopes that the statewide cyber safety campaign will make a significant impact in raising awareness about the importance of cyber safety in today’s digital age.
