Odisha Food Processing Policy & Odisha MSME Development Policy Amended

Bhubaneswar: The State Government have amended Odisha Food Processing Policy’2013, Odisha Food Processing Policy’2016 and Odisha MSME Development Policy’2016 vide MSME Department Notification issued.

To avail of financial incentives under these 3 policies, and the industrial unit was required to submit the application within 6 months/12 months from the date of commencement of operation.

Since there was no provision for condonation of delay beyond the stipulated 6 month/12 month period, claims of a number of industrial units for the financial incentive, submitted beyond the stipulated period of 6 month/12 months with delay of a few days, have been rejected.

“Vide the recent amendment, the stipulated period has been enhanced to 2 years. Secondly, a
provision for condonation of delay beyond 2 years has also been inserted,” a State Government presser noted.

“Moreover, as a one-time relaxation measure, industrial units whose claims have already been rejected due to delay in submission will now get time up to 30th June 2023 for filing a fresh claim to avail financial incentive,” the press released stated further.
