Odisha: SLSWCA Approves 14 Industrial Projects Worth ₹1,713 Cr Spanning Hospitality, Manufacturing & More

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), under Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, has greenlit 14 industrial projects in Odisha, totalling an investment of Rs 1,713.65 crore. These projects span diverse sectors such as metal downstream & ancillaries, power, pharmaceuticals, plastics, food processing and tourism.

In its 127th meeting, the SLSWCA approved ventures that are anticipated to significantly contribute to Odisha’s economic development, providing a total employment generation potential of 5,134 across seven districts.

Among the notable projects is Neo Industries Metal Processing Pvt Ltd’s Rs 72.00 crore initiative in Jajpur, focusing on chrome plating, grinding, and texturing for a steel unit. This project is set to create employment opportunities for 50 individuals.

Anand Exports takes the spotlight in the stainless steel & ferro alloys sector with a comprehensive expansion initiative in Jajpur. Valued at Rs 628.00 crore, the project aims to augment ferrochrome unit capacity, generating employment for 2,828 individuals.

Asoka Sky Metals Pvt Ltd is establishing a metal downstream unit in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, with a project cost of Rs 101.00 crore, providing jobs for 105 individuals.

In the tourism sector, Mahindra Holidays and Resorts’ project at Sonapur Beach near Bahuda river mouth in Ganjam, with an investment of Rs 228.45 crore, is expected to boost the industry, creating employment opportunities for 150 people.

TS Beach Resorts Private Limited plans to redefine hospitality in Odisha with a Convention Centre and 4-star Hotel at Sipasarubali in Puri, investing Rs 132.16 crore and providing employment for 250 individuals.

Other approved projects include a 4-Star Hotel in Jharsuguda, a 23.02 MW captive Roof-Top Solar Power Plant in Jajpur, a pharmaceutical venture in Puri, a manufacturing unit for UPS System and batteries in Khurda, a food processing unit in Cuttack, a modern rice mill project in Jajpur, a plastics manufacturing unit in Jagatsinghpur, and a syringe production unit in Cuttack.
