Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth Arrested for Allegedly Killing Son Claims Innocence

Panaji: Suchana Seth, the CEO of Mindful AI Lab start-up, is currently in police custody in Goa for the alleged murder of her four-year-old son. Despite ongoing last rites in Bengaluru, Seth maintains her innocence, claiming that she did not commit the crime. Arrested by Chitradurga Police during her journey from North Goa with her son’s body dumped in a bag, the 39-year-old has reportedly been uncooperative with the investigation.

Goa Police revealed on Wednesday that the murder appears to have been premeditated, with the child seemingly smothered using a towel or pillow. Seth, who initially attempted suicide by slitting her wrist, changed her plans and travelled to Bengaluru with her son’s body in a tourist cab costing Rs 30,000.

The motive behind this disturbing act is believed to be connected to the custody battle with her estranged husband, Venkat Raman. Amidst divorce proceedings, Seth was reportedly dissatisfied with a court order granting visitation rights to her husband every Sunday. Allegedly planning the crime to prevent the scheduled meeting, the police clarified that the husband was out of the country when the murder occurred. The investigation into this tragic incident is still ongoing.
