Odisha Tourism’s Eco Retreat: 7 Enchanting Locations Await Visitors on December 1

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Tourism is gearing up for its annual flagship camping event, Eco Retreat, set to kick off on December 1st, 2023. This exciting announcement was made during the 44th Foundation Day celebration of the Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) on a recent Sunday.

Starting from September 15th, tourists will have the opportunity to book their stays at seven stunning locations across Odisha. These locations include Konark, Putsil, Sonapur, Daringbadi, Bhitarkanika, Satkosia, and Hirakud. A total of 220 tents will be set up to offer visitors a unique and comfortable “glamping” experience.

Lenin Mohanty, Chairman of OTDC, expressed his enthusiasm for the Eco Retreat event and its significant impact on Odisha’s tourism landscape. He emphasized that Eco Retreat has become the face of Odisha Tourism, playing a pivotal role in promoting sustainable tourism within the state.

In addition to its role in tourism promotion, Mohanty highlighted the broader contributions of OTDC to the state’s economy. The corporation has not only boosted tourism but has also been a key driver of economic growth. In the last fiscal year, it generated an impressive profit of Rs 5 crore. OTDC’s efforts have created employment opportunities and supported local businesses, while also preserving Odisha’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, making it a truly unique and captivating destination.
