Political Posters, Banners to be Removed From Bhubaneswar Ahead of 2024 Elections

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced the removal of all political banners and posters within its jurisdiction in Bhubaneswar ahead of the 2024 general elections, following guidelines from the Election Commission of India (ECI).

BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange stated that the action aligns with ECI directives, urging political parties to comply. Any further political advertisements found in Bhubaneswar will be promptly removed before the elections.

Recently, a team from the ECI, led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, assessed Odisha’s readiness for the upcoming elections. Kumar highlighted that 3,32,00,000 voters are expected to cast their votes across 37,809 stations in Odisha during the general elections.
