Raghubar Das To Be Sworn In As 26th Governor Of Odisha On 31st Oct

Bhubaneswar: Raghubar Das is set to be sworn in as the 26th Governor of Odisha on October 31, following his appointment on October 18. The former Chief Minister of Jharkhand will arrive in Bhubaneswar on October 29 in preparation for his new role.

In the meantime, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik paid a courtesy visit to outgoing Governor Ganeshi Lal to express his gratitude for Lal’s nearly 5-year and 5-month service as Governor. Ganeshi Lal will depart Odisha on Friday.

Prior to becoming the Odisha Governor, Raghubar Das served as the national vice president of the BJP and was the first non-tribal Chief Minister of Jharkhand from 2014 to 2019. In a statement to the media, Das expressed his commitment to working in harmony with the state government to elevate Odisha to new heights.
